Xtream_Gamer
Okay, I am a noob at this program. I'm not sure how to crop an image without that checker thing coming up in the background. How do u crop?!
Crazy Man Dan
Select the area you want to keep with one of the Selection tools, and click the Crop to Selection button on the toolbar (just to the right of Paste), or Image -> Crop to Selection (the top option), or press [Ctrl]+[shift]+[X]. As to the checkers, that just indicates that that section of the image is transparent. The checkers won't show up in a saved image. Rick: I think you could use a section in the FAQs regarding those checkers. I'll include a discription of them and why they're there in my Basics tutorial as well. Rick Brewster
Moved to General Discussion This isn't a tutorial, nor a request for a specific tutorial. Please post things in the right forum. Edited the title and text Please don't use so many question marks. One is plenty enough. Adding a FAQ entry only helps the people who read the FAQ, which is a small number of people. Bob
Adding a FAQ entry only helps the people who read the FAQ plus the people we said: "read the FAQ". Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. Born2killx
If the image isn't a perfect square, the checkers have to come up to indicate that it is empty. You can fill can it a specific color to your choosing. Quote I built my first computer at age 11!
