Ylandy
Is there an easy way to make the background white instead of black when using the "vignette" tool? I`ve tried the "vignette+", but it doesn`t work as well as the original. I want to make a face "blur" or "fade" into the white of the paper when printing. Maby there is a better tool to use? Pixey
Hello @Ylandy and Welcome to the forum One idea is this: 1. Have one layer in white. 2. Bring the face into a new layer. Then follow this tutorial to blend around the edges of the face. Finally save as .jpeg or .png. dipstick
Yes, I would also recommend to use the gradient tool in "Radial" mode. Set background color to white and foreground color opacity to 0. Edited October 27, 2019 by dipstick
HyReZ
As Pixey recommended, create a bottom layer in all white, but then go back and select your face on the top layer and set you primary color to white. Now run the Effects>Artistic>Vignette1 plugin with the 'Set RGB to Primary Colour' and the 'Invert transparency' boxes unchecked while you adjust the other settings.
