"Fatal Error During Installation"

Recommended Posts

I've used Paint.net a lot. After I finished working on something I shut off my computer, like normal. The next day I try to open it, but I can't. I uninstalled the program, and tried re-installing. It get this message:

When it downloads it has a 'staging' folder with the installer inside.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, maybe thats the problem?

Help if you can, and get back as soon as you can.

Hi diamondapplegal - welcome to the forum :D

1603 is a known error. We have a couple of possible solutions.

Have a look at this thread: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/692-install-update-or-uninstall-trouble-read-this/
