LarryCosgrove
Friends Question from a newbie on this site.... How do you create colorized satellite images from a black and white sample? What I am trying to achieve is simple: water in blue spectrum, clouds in white/grey, land brown to green. I did a search on this forum and did not find anything, but I am sure that someone here has tried this task and succeeded (if one assumes a 255 color palette that starts black-grey-white). Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Best Regards, Larry Cosgrove
LFC4EVER
You may have to cut the image out and use coloring tools, such as curves to colour it. Also, could you post an example image, as it would help a lot. Quote ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::.
LarryCosgrove
This is an example of the grey-scaled satellite that I would like to colorize (again, not single tint). Best Regards, Larry Cosgrove

Tanel
You can get close with gradient mapping plugin:
