Good luck to one and all, thanks again for entering
Forgot to mention - having 13 entries this week, gives you the option to vote for six

Cheers for the feedback ShinichiOkazaki, Clipwarp is just a plugin that I enjoy using, and spend a lot of time experimenting with. I just try it on anything to see if it works, sometimes it does, but its hit and miss really.
Thanks for passing by and looking at my stuff
-
Cheers Welshblue, thanks for dropping by, got to admit I'm not a big fan of the background on way out cafe, I may redo it again without "stella"
-
Glass and Chrome is very cool work sir, great detail and shine.
-
With this tool ?

Welcome to the forum
Unfortunately once you have committed your text to a layer and then moved on, you cant re type it.
There is a plugin here Editable-text that may be of use for you to use in the future.-

The work in progress is mighty impressive Daniels, really like the detail in the chair and the addition of the note paper with writing on it is spot on. How did you create the Newton Balls ? love the detail in them too.
-
Taking a look at how many entries so far, its looking like the option to vote for 5. Cool work so far, nice one.

first off grab this tool > ellipse select >
then while holding shift draw around your circle (holding shift will maintain the circle) then use the keyboard command Ctrl + C (to copy) and then Ctrl + Shift + V (to paste your selection) onto a new layer you can then use the move tool >
to reposition your new layer to where you need it

Nice new works Sasha
I was going to suggest using a wooden texture to stand your ornament on, but then I noticed you said it was a contemporary piece, so therefore it works just as it is with the black table top. Your alien is super cool, I don't think it needs anything else adding to it really (unless others can fill the gaps) great additions to your gallery, top work.

Thanks Skullbonz, glad you like them, I should have remade and entered the cafe sign in the sig comp
-
-
Good on you skullbonz, I look forward to seeing your entry.
-
Thanks Sasha, Daniels, barbieq25, blackpenny. Happy your liking what I create, I'm still not seeking a clipwarpers cure yet though
-
Skullbonz - Sorry to read that you won't be taking part in the sotw comp anymore, your entry in the cityscape comp was excellent, it would be a shame not to have input from you every now and then, I must admit that I have difficulty thinking of an idea sometimes and your right, when you re-size an image, it can lose impact, but your entry scored 5 points, so there is people on here who think your entry is valid
I would hate to lose participants in my first week as host.

This Weeks Theme is – Explosion of Colour.
And was chosen by – Minners71The chosen theme this week invites you to decorate the comp with bright and cheerful coloured
signatures you can find some Inspiration Here to help you out.The deadline for entries is 9:00pm (UK Time) on Sunday 17 March.
to see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time
Please take a moment to read the rules below. (If your entry breaks any of them, it will be disqualified
and not included in the poll)
The Rules:1. Max sig dimensions 500x200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500x150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig.
2. No crude or offensive language, pics, etcetera. This is a family friendly forum!
3. Your entry must follow the set theme.
4. Only one entry per person, modifications to your image is NOT permitted after submitting your entry!
5. Your post should include your sig and links to your source images.
6. Use new, fresh sigs. The idea is to get you to create new things, and if you are just pulling out an old one, you are not doing that.
7. No uploading a place holding sig, and then adding a new one later in the week.
8. Very Important - Your creation must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor / renderer and try passing it off as PDN work. Or it will be disqualified! The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition.
Good luck to all and thanks in advance for entering.
Special thanks to: Sozo (since I’m using a remix of his template) chrisco97, Sozo TheHowler and Nitenurse79 for keeping this comp going in the past.
This thread is for posting your entries only.
If you want to talk about one of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread located here.. -

Indeed you can install pdn on a windows 8 comp. I installed pdn without any front end stopped working prompt. It would first depend on where the OP downloaded pdn from in the first instance (I guess)
