Cheers for the hosting Chimay -
@ Ella ... I really can't believe your entry into this competition is trailing like that. What a stunning piece of imagery.
No accounting for things, I guess
I can't understand why mine has got the votes it has so far

And as there are so many plugins, brushes and whatever else, there's no way my stupid brain can save all information that you must have somewhere in your history, but aren't willing to present there. Which degree did I use? Which depth, which strength, which RGB code? To get a picture the way you want it keeps hours, but of course I'm willing to spend some more of them just to write down every single step I take -.-
Also you don't have to install every plug in available. It's up to you what you add to the mix.

aaah!
Okay I just downloaded two brush sets but when I go on to Paint.net under Effects/custom brushes mini....not there. Is there a different way to download the brushes with this new version?? I followed the directions for downloading custom mini-brushes but the new Paint.net version shows no brushes when I open the CBM! Is there a bug in the system or am I just losing my mind?
Can someone please help me?
Your brushes go in to your User name / documents / Paint.net user files on your computer, not in the paint.net program files.

Hello I still need help.....when I get to the final stage and run the clip-warp it warps the entire picture not just what I've drawn using CMB . I did everything you said to the T...unless I misunderstood something .?
After you have copied the background to the clipboard, you then need to click on the layer that you want to apply clipwarp to.

A great tute Red, congrats on a worthy pin. I have bookmarked to do this, looking at some great examples of what can be done from EER & Trevor.
@Doughty - That looks amazing, the addition of the rocks and lighthouse sets it off, great work.

DD - I like the falling Embers - nice touch. Is that Color Dodge on the Layer Blend and Scatter?
Thanks Techno.
All I did was duplicate each layer, run scatter on a selection halfway down the lower of each layer. No blends were used.
Nice sample images by Techno and RedOchre too, cool stuff.

Thanks for the quick re-make Techno, cool plugin

It is not showing up in my effects menu > Render. I have installed it Ok, but no sign of it in any menu
