  1. @ Xander_Lyon you have the angle right and it looks really good. The glow is also spot on. I agree with GF that the end of the beam looks too solid making it look more like a bulb than a beam. Nice 3D work though. I can't wait to see more detail on the light saber handle.

  2. Possum Roadkill, your love of PDN shows. I do have a favorite; it is the one with the Julia fractals, glass blocks, 3D, and I think, rotate zoom in it. It looks like you have learned a lot since February and made some great images. I know your work will just get better and better. Smiles!

Thank you very much ! I was hoping someone would notice that one. I did a whole series of related images and this is the one I liked best. I may post some of the others at some point. It is actually the Mandelbrot fractal, with everything else (background) selected and deleted. Then selected with magic wand and embossed. Curves or Color Filter for the color, (I can't remember  ) Then Shape 3D to make the sphere (again, I can't remember the exact settings). Then I copied the layer and did a frosted glass (I think, or maybe a fragment blur?) and then zoom blur for the sparkle halo. That all is for the sphere. Then the tiles are the original Mandelbrot fractal, with the fractal part selected and the Multi Color Gradient used to color it. I then used the layers/rotate/zoom to get the perspective and the tiling box checked to get the tiles. Then I just did a motion blur with the centered box unchecked to get the 3D effect and duped the layer until I got it enough to look solid. The back wall is the same image with the Tiles Reflection XY. The floor under the tiles is the same image but rotated and stretched to fit and then the heck blurred out of it ! I think that's about it. I'm sure I was fumbling around with it and there could have been something else I have missed. But for the most part, that is how I did it. That it even turned out somewhat like I wanted is a minor miracle.

  4. Possum, I just got to ask you this...do you have a thing for possum or is it because of the area you live in, and there's a lot of, er, roadkill?

Ha ha, long story. But the short version is I like opossums. They are a very old animal and are very adaptable. Most people don't understand their place in the ecosystem, but they are a very beneficial animal. Most people think they are ugly, but if you look at them really close they are beautiful. Their silver and black fur and pink feet, tail and nose makes me laugh. I started a You Tube channel because of a problem in my town and I wanted a name that people would remember. ( You can check out my You Tube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/PossumRoadkill ) On the drive into the office, I saw yet another possum killed on the road and the name was clear to me. Yes there is a lot of roadkill out here in the country for some reason. I travel only 12 miles to my office but I use two different State Highways and since people are driving faster on these roads, sadly many of the slower animals like the possum don't have a chance. One benefit of my choosing this name is that several people have told me that they now try to avoid hitting possums and other wildlife when driving. I love wildlife and to me, having a funny name like I do makes it worth it if it makes people more aware of them. Believe it or not, that was the short version !

  6. Once I figured out that this goes in the file types and not the effects folder ( I know, you're thinking he's not very bright is he) I was able to complete Yellowman's animated circle text tut. This is really amazing ! I have been using another GIF animator program but never posted any of my stuff here because it was not completely 100% PdN. Now I can animate some of the stuff I do here, especially sigs and avatars. This will also be a great addition to my video projects. I have been using PdN for the graphics on the last few videos and this completes the tools I have wanted. Thanks so much Simon, this is really a great addition.

  8. First off, just learning how to do text in a circle/arc is very useful to me. I have always wondered how to do it, but realized figuring out the process was beyond my understanding. Now I understand ! Thanks so much ! This is so easy even I can do it. Thanks Yellowman. Again, another very useful tut that is well done, easy to understand and teaches something that people can really use. You are a master teacher.

Secondly, after much confusion on my part, I realized that the Anim plug-in goes in the file types not the effects folder. Then I was on my way ! Thank you so much Simon Brown, this really changes everything !

  9. There is no way you are only 11 ! These are really great ! Your abstract work is so very good ! I really enjoy the sigs too. Hey even us old people can like cartoons. The Gummy Bears is my favorite. You have a very bright future, keep it up !

  11. I looked at your gallery while I was on my lunch break today and was 10 minutes late getting back. I could not stop ! Your talent is amazing. I love your style and versatility. Everything you do is so smooth and balanced. I cannot even find the right words......

  13. I looked at your website. Your graphics are so very good. It is the start of a very professional looking website. I have tried NVu in the past. I did my first webpage with it. I could not even begin to get out of it what you have. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing your website develop.

  15. The pear is awesome! I don't know how you made it, but I love the shading and the accurate colors!

I agree, it looks like a fine watercolor painting. Beautiful. I really like the snake. The body texture is really great ! He's cute too. I have a good buddy we call Snake. I have to show this to him.

  17. Oh and your avatar is one of my favorites.

 may i ask why? there are better avatars out there

I like the mask. It looks to be a single face but then it also looks to be a juxtoposition of two masks as in the theater masks, the laughter and sorrow masks, but melded into one. I'm not sure it that was your intent or just my interpretation of it. I alway thought that was the most interesting thing about art, how differently people interpret the same piece. But you know, people are crazy, at lease where I live.
