  1. 100th Post! What better way to celebrate than...another abstract! lolz Ok, maybe a better way to celebrate: New sig/av combo
  2. @k.digennaro--um..I dunno. I'm not that good at giving advice on coloring (I'm actually kinda good at coloring b&w screenshots with PdN, but coloring a drawing is different :? ). imho, it doesn't look bad if you look at it long enough. Then again, just wait for other peoples advice. Haven't had much time using PdN lately (with school and all), but I did manage to make a quickie using the weird engine I made awhile back I'm sorta delaying the plane project because I can't seem to get the right kind of wings. I wanna get pointy wings, but mine are always rounded, and if I shorten the width of the wing they would be too skinny. Any tips on making something pointy with Shape 3D? And oh yeah, I made a really good abstract while trying to remake a bg for the above pic Comments/criticism on above pics welcome
  3. Working on making a plane engine. The plane needs a lot of work, so I can't just stick engines on. Anyway, I was thinking of a side view of an engine but I though halfway through making the pic "Wait, you can't see the blades of a propeller outside of its shell!". I was halfway through it so I just chose to finish it. Hmm, trun it 90 deg. clockwise and it sorta looks like a spacecraft. meh. And I always stick in an abstracty bg in my works
  4. A quick put together. Quite recently I've been trying to stay away from abstracts and move into more realistic things. I was going to fix up the shuttle I had a few pages back but I lost the PdN file ( ). Instead of redoing the same pic from scratch, I took an inspiration from a beta version of the head of the shuttle and made (or tried to, I guess) a plane. It all went well until I got to the front of the plane after the wings. Everything before the wings was ok, but then I sorta got lost. Obviously needs more work (texture, etc. Thinking about putting on engines). And eh, I put in an abstract, which reminds me of coffee . Comments?
  5. @D.C. (Conviction--Awesomeness! 10/10 Just working around with Shape 3D. I think this is the first realistic thing I've made, but needs more work (I purposely kept off the bottom part of the shuttle). Comments?
  6. 777! Yay! @Karma Blue: your karma just turned red lolz @Oma: Really awesome tank. And yeah, I think war makes a lot of people sad I mean, it doesn't make them happy (I hope) Another abstract, this time using zoom blur with a mandelbrot fractal piece. To me it looks like a sundown with the buildings at a diagonal slant, but that's just me. :?
  7. Played with Fractal Mandelbrot again (my favorite render plugin lolz ) and began as an abstract. Then I constructively reworked it into semi-abstract. I see an angel with its wings closed. What do you see?
  8. My usual favorite thing to make in PdN are abstract. 50% because I can never think of anything solid that isn't simple and 50% because I'm never really good with creating sold. But sometimes abstracts can turn into something solid . Played around with Mandelbrot Fractal (I like using that plugin a lot) and started off as another abstract. Then it turned into a neat cloudy night sky, so I thought..pop in a moon. Then played around with color dodge, which was a bit fun moving the moon from one side to the other (then again, I'm a little funny in the head lolz ), from a moon to setting sun to this, which I settled onto. Then with a little more boredom, (and not wanting to do my geometry hw) I just created a rocket
  9. Quicky one-shot abstract to pass the time: @K.Digennaro--nice beginnings of a car! Free-hand or outlined? @diabolicus--good start to a bg. Maybe change the font because I didn't see the "infinity" part until a second more concise look at it.
  10. @Jerkfight--cool. Looks like it was handpainted New sig and avatar, based on ABC World News Tonight (also the inspiration of my nickname) graphics during 2004-2005 during the final Peter Jennings (R.I.P) era (probably more familiar to Americans). Everything 100% PdN. Except for the little TARDIS
  11. Our music teacher would silence us by threatening to "throw the first person who spoke outta the universe". Oddly enough, it works. A friend of mine left his art sculpture in music class one day, and it was never seen again. My guess...it got thrown outta the universe! So now I'm just trying to imagine what "outta the universe" would look like, along with the sculpture (which was basically a kinda round donut thingy...).
  12. Something that I made abstractly. Not exactly winter themed, but I'm having a blank day today and I can't seem to make anything good.
  13. A lights/night/cave/....thingy. I'm more inclined to call it a dark night sky with lights, or a darky cave for lack of a better title. I can never title my works... :? Oddly enough, geometry inspires my work, even though I don't like doing the work in general
  14. I tried keeping away from my Geometry HW for as long as possible, and then I ended up making something like this:  So angry! I wanna burn my textbook now! ...OK, I guess I'll go do my Geometry now.
  15. Call it an ice house, an ice tunnel or an ice beetle (I mean, I see pincers). The point is that it's an ice something (for lack of a better title :? ) . *EDIT: Fixed image Actually got rid of all other seams but the top one, which is obviious and quite annoying! Maybe I'll get to fixing it up afterI finish my HW...
  16. hmm.. speaking of space stuff, I was messing around with fractal mandelbrot for awhile and I got inspired to make this: I'm not too happy with the atmosphere...I didn't intend to put in so much dark blue and now I can't go back and fix it I was also going for making a spaceship kinda like the Command Module of the Apollo missions, but I couldn't figure out how to make cone tops with shape 3D (well, a cone with a straight edge on top. Like : /--\ ) Comments?
  17. That might have been me like 5 pages ago....and yes, I know. I have the gentree plugin. I was thinking about using it....but then again I've had it for six months, been messing around with it ever since I got it, and have made nothing more than a curvy branch with some other branches on it looking like literally nothing  I have no clue how to make anything good out of it. And I can't seem to figure out what keywords to search for to find the original topic. Any tips on what coordinates I should use? btw, that IS an excellent tree. Try using the Polygon/Stars plugin to make the star on your tree @wither--no, I don't think so because after all it is a piece of art. Besides, if people haven't been caught copyright infringing for uploading Doctor Who pisodes on youtube, I doubt if they're gonna jail u for it
  18. Has anyone tried to make a standard Christmas Tree (you know, one with decorations and ornaments on it and looks like a pine tree)? I've been trying for awhile. The best I've made is a pretty standard one though.... I couldn't even decorate it. Maybe I should try making some ornaments now
  19. @wither: I dunno. Personally, I like how the one on the right is styled. it kinda makes it look like u burned off the "l" which comes before the e, though (not that it's a bad thing. Burning stuff is good. It says "subtle", right? Or is it shuttle? My glasses aren't working as good as it should. I think I need new ones..)
  20. I dunno what this reminds me of. Springs? Copper Coils? I forget..
  21. wow never tried working with clouds and shape 3d yet. Still, cool image Hey, is everyone posting on page 666 cursed or is it just Cortinachris ?
  22. I nuked my imagination @verndewd--reminds me of the Sydney Opera House, but green
