A jerbert theme?
I think a vista'ish theme would be cool. I know hondas been wanting to do that for a while.
-
Yea, here you go. Clicky.
Its really your choice on learning off the internet or getting a book though. I highly reccomend getting a good book, and going though it. If moneys tight or something, just learn from the internet.
EDIT: Yea, I learned C++ from a book, and am currently learning directx programming from a book. Pricy, but IMO, worth it.
And pyro, ive never seen a programming book over $50. Might just be me though.
-
Yea, express editions is what I meant. I dont know what other c# compilers there are, seeing how thats not my language.
But I agree with pyro though. If you are new at programming, you should start with something a lot more basic than this. What I did to start learning programming was went to barnes and noble and bought a book on programming for beginners. Its not too cheap ($30-$50), but they cover information better and in much more detail than the internet IMO. Also, they are written by people who know what they are talking about.

You need something that can open those files. I suggest visual studio 2005. You can download it for free from the microsoft site. Or you could try visual studio 2008, but its still in beta.

Nice. Hondas getting some competition. Im also in the progress of making one myself.
I like how unique yours is. I dont think Ive seen any curser pack like that before.
-
Something like that would take a long time to do in paint.net. Icons and other 3D stuff is ussualy very high quality, such as that one. They would take forever to replicate in paint.net. An easier but still had way would be to learn blender, anim8tor, or other 3D program. Someone else might be able to help you create that in paint.NET, but it most likely wont be easy.

I think paint.net 3.08 was the first version that cnet had hosted on their site. Thats what that video was on. Maybe that helped cause that huge spike, because 3.08 was just a bug fix to the most part. Anyways though, that spike dwarfs the spikes created by major versions, and was by far the highest point of pdn history. I wonder what the 4.0 spike will be like.

Wrong section. This should be in bugs and troubleshooting. Also there, read the stickied thread up at the top.

Yea, that is a really nice thing about programs like this. Its a better community. Instead of some guy that big companies hire to answer your questions, we've got the main creater here to help. Also unlike big programs, everyone has a say on what they would like to be added and stuff like that. The purpose of this program isnt to make money, but for a free, easy to use program.

The icon/curser plugin. Its in the plugin section. I think its stickied. If not, try using search.
-
Yea. And also if you save as .ani. Try it and see.

It took lazy me a long time to join as well, but thats mainly because my username was taken. I wish I had done it sooner too. Even though I havnt posted anything yet (I will soon), it makes it a lot easier to keep up with everyone else's creations, and let them know what you think.

Its been a while sence I checked this. Last time I checkec we were just about tied, but a little ahead.

Anyone know what caused that big spike a few months ago. Did something big happen? Is that when shape3D came out?
-
When saving the curser, there should be a little popup that asks where the hotspot should be.
-
If you want to make fun of pyro, theres a thread just for that in the overflow section.
Anyways, less talk, more pics.
-
What do you mean?
-
Yea, if you're friends have you on their watched list on dA, they will get a message and link when you post something new.
-
The pictorium is for users who dont have a dA, or would just like to show off some of their stuff here.
-
Creating a new pictorium wouldnt help much anyways. It would get huge again soon. Just make a da account. DA is like a much, much better version of the pictorium.
-
Go to control panel/mouse. Then click the pointers tab. That shows all the cursers you need to make a pack.
And for cursers, 48x48 seems kinda big. I would use 20x20 or something like that.
-
My bad. Wasnt paying attention.
-
First off, read the rules. Make the thread title a little more specific.
And also, what do you want to know? Make an image and save it as .cur . To make animations, each layer is a different frame if you use the icon/curser plugin.
-
Also, you could draw white circles over your eyes on a different layer, and change the opacity/blending mode.
-
Recolor () maybe? Its on the tools window.
making name into cardinals

Erase the Cardinals, and browse dafont for a similar font. Seeing how your name starts with an R, you will need to recreate that part of the bat that it covers. Same with the L. You can use the clone stamp tool (:CloneStamp:) to do that easily.
