Ive made several folder icons. They dont take too long, at least mine didnt. They dont look bad either. And besides, you dont have to make much icons. Just a couple. We've got a month to do it.

I dont think this will happen. If you want to get people to comment on your stuff, you could create a deviant art account. You get your own page, and can post your stuff there.
-
Not quite sure what you're saying, or what the problem is. What I would do to make a collage would be to seperate each picture into layers. Then maybe rotate some of the pictures by selecting them and right clicking the little nubs with the move selected pixels tool.
-
You could upgrade some parts to your computer. That might make things go a lot faster. The less fonts you have though, the faster it will go.
-
Wow. I think Ive just got 100 something.
Just go though, and remove fonts that you would never use. It makes the process for finding a good font faster and easier, plus removes the huge ammount of lag when trying to select one.
-
Thats pretty cool. Some different colors, and I really like that faint cross blur in it.
-
Yea, you've just got too much fonts. Paint.NET gets really slow when you try that with too much fonts. Ive got the same problem.

So is it time to start voting for the next one yet? My votes in order are for:
1. OS pack
2. Curser pack
3. Winamp

Your dA says:
Artist's CommentsA neat fractal effect I ran across.
I just thought that means that you came across it while browsing dA or something, and uploaded it. Theres nowhere on there (untill just recently) that said you made it.

Those kinda look like buzzkills stuff on the first and third page. Based off of them im guessing.
Well anyways, yours looks good. I like the shadow on your name on the first one. The one thing I dont like is how blurry the background is.

I really wish I had something like this a week ago. Instead, I had to do all the lines by hand with the line tool, which took about 5 minutes, and way not accurate at all with spacing.
Ill certanly be using this a ton in the future. Thanks!

I dont think he made it though.

Yea. Its just letting you know that its in beta, so there might be a few bugs or stuff like that. You will know when you want to update it when that popup thing comes up and says a new version is avaliable, or you can visit getpaint.net, or just look at the stickies in questions and general discusion. Theres ussualy a topic about the latest version there.

That just means that you are using a beta version of paint.NET. Untill paint.NET 3.10 is out of beta, and you upgrade to that, it will still say that it is a pre release version.

...couldnt get mine in on time, seeing how the school asigned homework over the summer that I still had to do...
Ill be in next one. So when do we start voting for the next one? My vote is for the os pack.

Look in the plugin section. Its sticked.
Or use seach.

Ive been using the rotate/zoom thing a lot lately. One problem with it is the lack of a precise way to zoom in. Right now, the only way to zoom in or out by using that is by sliding the bar up or down. Because the max zoom is 16x, this is not precise at all. There should be either a way to type in the ammount of zoom you want, or have little plus and minus buttons that increase/decrease the ammount of zoom by +.01/-.01.
Any chance something like this could happen?

Agrees
The dropdown box would slow down the whole process.

Its pretty much the same as the color tint effect, but its a layer blend. Color tint is limited by the fact that it can only use colors. As a layer blend, you would be able to tint a layer or image with another layer or image, instead of just one color.
-
That doesnt look too hard. Make a rectangle, select it with the magic wand, use the gradient plugin with the colors you want. Maybe add some noise + pixelate (small value) + median (small value) for the bubbles? Im not sure about that part. And then, for the glow, use the glow plugin.

I think he's talking about that one on the first page.

Also, be sure to use the latest version of paint.net. I think this was fixed in the latest version.

Google just seems way too simple. It would just be a quick, 1 hour thing. Seeing how we have a month, we should really do something big, like an os pack, or an actual progam such as winamp.
