hi sounds like you are working on digital scrapbooking. textured papers i generally use the plugin photo flood fill you can use any downloaded picture or one you scann and select all and fill the page with it. or I've also when using the paint bursh or bucket tool hit the drop down box that says solid colour and use some of the dotted and dashed ones then tint with I think its Ed harveys plug in there is loads of possibilties. agree would love to do custom brushes as well sort of like tubes in photo shop have fun play around and don't forget to read the tutorials even if what they are teaching isn't exactly what you are doing at the moment they are often well thought out and teach ever so much OMA

I third that request for now I've been using a work around inserting text large size say 48 and change the font to windings 3 they have arrows in that font. OMA

Is there a way to go back to a previous drawen line and re activate the nodes? thanks Oma

I'm still in learning curve ( have had a personal computor less than a year) so be kind all. Good evening to all. would someone be able to explain to me in layman's terms just what the heck these two things are? I realize that alpha blending affects the paint brush ( when I switch it off and use large size brush the result looks like many many circles with some transparency showing thru---sort of gives a lacy effect) so it must blend some way the three channels of red blue and green but why is there some of the checkerboard transparancy showing thru the sweep of colour ? and antialising well that just makes no connection in my mind at all. is this term known by any other name? what does it do or control thanks OMA

could someone please explain what exactly this does. it may solve a problem i've got in multiple image placement. (need exact placements not randomized ones) and second is there first a tutorial for using this? what i've read so far on this here tended to either be a bit over my head or I'd missed previous discussions and couldn't find the relevant parts to read. I know infra view handles batch conversions and I'm about 90% positive they support tga files. oma

I managed to figure out the beads by using a bubles tutorial + added gradiant masking _ and just tried adding similar to the glass buttons I did manage to manually one by one in individual layers string them together but there must be an easier method. perhaps some sort of grouping method to cut down layers. the photo shop pro uses tubing as far as I can determine this is sort of being able to draw a curved filled line like caligraphy in paint but use a png for the fill. in paint its going to have to be accomplished using brush fill. has anyone ever been able to adjust the brushes? is there a method or dll been thru most of the tutorials but don't see much on brush adjustments. once I can master changing brush I'll probably figure out the png part. yes have doing it that method I'll keep working on it think its more along the lines of a tile multiple times.

not sure what your term is for this so unable to find topic by searching. Ok say you have an element drawen in paint then you want to make multiple of them in a string from. maybe like a womans necklace of beads all the same but arc downwards in centre is there a way to do this with out multiple paste and move operations? thanks OMA

is that version 3 a free version or just in test stages? maybe Majic can let me know if it works on his version 2.72 before i download the plugin. I'm so new to computors I'm not too sure on taking a chance of crashing. just to let you know I'm not a complete idiot. just a wee bit slow on tech terms but did manage to follow some of the tutorials. actually learned about making gradiant masks and spheres/bubbles and made myself a nice pearl png. very interesting and useful site you have here. thanks again OMA

does this dll work with version 2.72? or is it for a later version?

I'm fairly new to computors and have been attempting to use this program for just a few weeks. I have question about basic shapes. is there a method of making triangles and half moon shapes quicker and easier than freehand line drawing? thanks OMA (german for grandmother)
