Ah, that very well may be it! I need to learn more computer terms >_>...metadata...3.20...on its way... -
For all that don't know, Exif data is embedded information in a JPEG or TIFF file. The best way to view Exif data is by doing the following steps:
Go to My Pictures
Right-click on a random (unedited) JPEG and click Properties
Go to the Summary tab and click the "Advanced >>" button
There's your Exif data
More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exif
I'd like to be able to edit this information without an external shareware program. Sounds like a job for BoltBait!

I don't know why, but my favorite part is the border. It's so cool! I've been trying to do them like that lately.

CMD, aren't you supposed to be on FunFact #3 and not #2?
-
Ha! Didn't think I was going to make one, didn't you?
...that's because I didn't plan on making one until an hour ago
The only source image is Jerbert. The rest was made with Paint.NET and a little Pixie Dust :AddNoise:

^That's where another one of my ideas comes in. I think there should be two versions of Paint.NET 4.0 when it comes out-- Basic Edition and Professional Edition (maybe even a Standard in between). I would explain how the versions would be like, but I don't think it would be worth all that time.

The easiest way would be a Hue/Sat adjustment with the saturation set to the max. If you want more uniform colors, try a little median blur, then Gauss blur*, then the Hue/Sat adjustment.
*I think I'll call it that from now on

Yeah, but what the basic user doesn't know won't hurt them
I was thinking about letting it compress at a lower, faster setting like -o3 or even -o2.

PNGOUT! PNGOUT! PNGOUT!
It's shaved off between 2-10 KB on every picture compared to PNGCrush, and yes it may be a command line application, but what I've found easier is to have the .exe in my signatures folder and simply drag and drop the desired file onto the .exe. PNGGauntet has compressed them the same as PNGOUT (obviously) but I've found the UI has slowed down the process on some of the larger .png's I've wanted to compress.
EDIT: changed 5 KB > 2 KB, I don't know why I hit the 5 key.
I actually prefer optipng now, it does a slightly better job. Plus its license is more open, maybe I can integrate it somehow ... * gets ideas *
I would like to see a "Compress PNG with OptiPNG" checkbox in the future.

I was searching for my "bloody potato" picture, but appartently, phpBB3 doesn't have it in its search cache (there aren't even results for "potato")... now I need to search my entire photobucket...

Cool! But before you publish it, can you make sure it goes into its own effect menu (like Fractal)?

There isn't really any place to start because there are so many wallpaper possibilities. And a lot of the tutorials in the forum would work as a wallpaper if you applied it right. For exapmle, the "Make a 'Wave,", "Rule of thirds", or the "Fading/Blending Camaro" tutorials.

Generic thread title + Useless poll = Bad Idea
I suggest you read the rules before someone else tells you to.
For importing images into Paint.NET, you can already do that. Try one of the following:
Process 1: Drag and drop the image from Firefox into Paint.NET
Process 2: Right-click the image, click Copy, then paste it in Paint.NET

I got a bug:
Go to the Members page (formally the "Memberlist")
Look at the "E-Mail" column
Where are the email addresses? :?
-
Paint.NET is also suggested by Google if you type "pai".
EDIT: And it's also there if you type "download pa"
-
No problem

Windows themes take an unbelievably long time to create (could take about 30 hours not including breaks). I recomend you download and install the UXtheme.dll patcher at the Neowin forums, then look for a theme here.
Icons take just as long. Get IconTweaker and get some themes compatible with he program (it may take some searching).

I'll give you a tip: When creating a sig that doesn't envolve lots of transparency, make a one-pixel border around it. Black or white depending on the signature's color.

@d.a: That's not a good thing. A few months ago, PDN was like 5 ahead of Paint Shop Pro (I posted that two months ago).
-
This is really just the authors trying to port Paint.NET to their emulated operating system. Nothing to worry about*, as it's just like how the Mono guys are porting PDN into Linux.
*But the name change may be illegal
EDIT: Though I would applaud them if they would be able to successfully port PDN to ROS without the use of a framework.

Since all the craziness is over, shouldn't this be moved to the Overflow?

@MadJik: The look great! If you can make a hexagon-patterned sphere for the eyes, it'll look perfect!
