Nice! Can you type a transcript for us?
Also, for the sake of paraphrasing as well as making Paint.NET look good, I'd take out the "almost" in the third one

Latest concept:
But as I said before, it'll look too minimalistic for some... though I may actually code this and use it as my homepage
I took out the "I'm feeling lucky" button because I never use it, and it's just an out-dated feature of Google, like MS Paint on Windows. I'm also looking for a way to integrate other types of search into the page without ruining its minimalistic style. Oh, and here's a bit of information: No pixel in this image is completely white... just the way I like it.

Thanks
My idea was to create something simple and easy on the eyes, yet still comparable with the current layout, which is why I've chosen to use a thin sans font with under-saturated colors to match Google's current logo.
BTW, working on the layout right now, have lots of ideas...

That was my favorite as well, but it would be a little too minimalistic for some. But I think I'll go with #2 anyways

It's GeosansLight. I've been waiting for the perfect time to use it

...and if what you're moving is really small, click on the outside of the image and move.

Okay, here are a few logo concepts that came to me:
(yes, the background color will be dark gray)
Opinions? Suggestions?

Ironically, Vista 64-bit is what Rick uses for coding and testing Paint.NET. In fact, PDN works more efficiently when in 64-bit mode.

^Really large PNG file, 12 seconds to load with my 760kbps connection (no offense, janettsue).

This is the best way to add opentype fonts in your Paint.NET image (you'll need this plugin):
1. Open something like Microsoft Office Word (with a white background)
2. Type your desired text in whatever font and size you want. Make sure it's in black
3. Take a screenshot of the document
4. Open Paint.NET and past the screenshot
5. Select only the text area of the document
6. Go to Effects > Color Space > RBG to CYMK
6.5: In that plugin, move the slider to "blacK" and click "OK"
Viola! You now have opentype font text in Paint.NET!

It's been something bugging me for a while. There are images that don't use Alpha values that are perfect candidates to be a JPEG, yet are saved as a PNG and end up over 3 times larger, thus it takes over three times longer to load the image.
For example, this image is a JPEG saved at ~93 quality:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p72/ ... a/cool.jpg
That file is 97.3 KB.
Here's the PNG version:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p72/ ... cool-1.png
The lossless version is 400 KB. Big difference in loading time, eh? This is example only uses one hue [and a nice one, too], yet the image looks exactly the same. If anything, the compression makes it look better (less-organized pixels).
Here's another example:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p72/ ... /sas-1.jpg
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p72/ ... da/sas.png
24kb vs 470kb: Which one works better?
Now that I've made my point, I'd like to suggest a rule be added that recommends the user to only post a PNG when absolutely needed (i.e. when there are no alpha values are evolved and if there's no clearly visible difference when compressed). Also suggest the user to compress their PNGs with an external program if JPEG isn't an acceptable alternative.

^Pretty realistic, IMO
Created this out of random experimentation:

I knew it! *+5pts*
Oh, and you're welcome

Tell your Win2K-using friends to go here:
http://filehippo.com/download_paint.net/?1510
Paint.NET 2.72 was the last version to support Windows 2000.
...he's...With the username AnnieKey58, I'm not sure if it's a he

I registered just to say Paint.NET is the best:

(I like the gradient text on that site!)

This is a very interesting bug. Are you sure you didn't install a font like one of these?
-
Thanks for the update!

It'll be possible, but I think it would take way to long to code and debug (and it already takes long enough to render a fractal). I used this for all of my fractals, and it got me many favs on DA, too!

It's kinda hard to see the text, but other than that, two partially-visible thumbs up!
A cool map screenshot showing were I live (and two Apple Store locations):

Thanks uH!
I voted for you ^_^
Wait...I didn't win?

Congrats, BK, Jp, and MJ!

I fourth it (if BB00 is allowed to third)!

Nice, simple plugin, but can't this be achieved with Paint.NET's fill modes?

Plug'n iz d best! It beats Curves+!
I'd really like Rick to one day implement this plugin into Paint.NET, especially to allow access to actions like duplicating layers, flattening images, copying images, etc.
