ZizOiz Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I have read the rules, both for the forum, and for the tutorials, and I have a question about when to make a new thread for a tutorial. I have read the rule against necroposting, and also read that the necroposting rule is waived in the tutorials section, and searched for an answer for this, though my searching skills are terrible. If I have written a tutorial that is on a topic already covered, but in a much older version, is it OK to create a new tread for my tutorial? This is a hypothetical situation, and I was just wondering, in case ever a case of this arises. Edit: Changed the first word in the topic so it was capitalized. it was bothering me. Simon Brown Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Is your new tutorial an extension to the old one or an entirely different method? Quote
david.atwell Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Sabrown's got the right idea. Create a new thread if it's a different way to the same result. If it only has one or two steps different, just tag it to the end of the previous. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
