comradec Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Is it possible to install Paint.NET on removable storage media, such as USB memory sticks, so that it can be used on different computers without requiring a full installation on each machine? I currently have a portable version of the GIMP on my memory stick, but Paint.NET seems a lot more fun and easier to use. Quote
Ash Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Just copy everything from the PDN folder to a thumb drive. And as long as the system you want to run have .NET Framework 2.0 or later installed. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
MiguelPereira Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Paint.NET requires the .NET framework 2.0 so if you put all that on your flash drive probably yeah, and this as been discussed before, so please search before asking EDIT: geez Ash... you rided over me... Leif Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Paint.NET works fine from a USB pen. But the color palettes are stored in “My Documents\Paint.NET User Files” So you have to copy them manually if you want them. And some plugins is also placing some files in that folder. Check the description of the plugins you want to use. Quote My DA: http://leif-j.deviantart.com/ -------------- Some people seek justice so persistent, that they will do great injustice themselves.
