I need basic help for a beginner

I need help, i've never really used any photo editing software, anyone know, where i can find info on how to use the paint.net

First of all look in the tutorials section. There are many examples and “training exercises”.

Then tell us something about what you want to do. Do you have some pictures? What do they look like now? And what do you want them to look like?

(Examples would bee fine.)

AND: :wink: Read the rules, and use more describing titles in your treads. :wink:

cool i'll read the tutorials, i really appreciate it..........wht i'm trying to achieve is this. I have a full color pic right, and i'm trying to make certain parts full color and the rest in black and white

You need to duplicate the picture in two layers.

There is a B/W feature in the adjustment menu. Use it on the lower layer

Then use this tutorial to remove the part you want to make B/W from the top layer.

There is a “Feather” plug in somewhere that BoltBait has made that might help. (Use search)

Flatten and you are done.
