skewing an image to show distance/angled object

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out a simple way to skew an image to show distance and angle, the image below should give you an idea of what I'm looking for...

but I want to do it with a photograph.

I've tried the oblique tool, its a great plug-in, but skews the whole image directionally in x-y plane. I'm wanting something that includes the z axis/depth perception

Hit Ctrl+Shift+Z, and use the ball on the left to achieve this effect. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

What you want is already included in Paint.NET right out of the box!

Read this page from the help file: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/RotateZoom.html

EDIT: Just once I'd like to beat david.atwell to a response. Doesn't that guy ever sleep? :|
