Chage Default Save Directory

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to change the default directory that Paint.net saves to? Perhaps a switch in running the program, a setting change somewhere, or an ini file that can be edited? I need to have it set up so that when the user saves, it automatically takes them to a mapped network directory instead of locally saving in My documents.

Thanks in advance.

There should be a folder titled "My Pictures" in you My Documents folder. Try to save your images in there.

Thanks anyway. I'd like to request that in an upcoming version, though. Even if it's a hack, I'd like to be able to do that! 8)

And to DarkShock, yes, I know how to save to different folders. I was trying to make it easier for the users on this network to remember to save on the server instead so that their data gets backed up.

What, no?

Use the Quick Access feature that's literally built-in to Windows. Look it up.
