Clipboard ignore transparency

Recommended Posts

What file types are you using?

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Yeah, it happens alls the time.

Copying a PNG from IE7 or a GTK+ environment (Firefox, The GIMP, et cetera) yields a black solid background, while copying from Opera yields a white solid background. I believe it's a clipboard inadequacy, as the same thing happens regardless of the graphics program I use.

The clipboard is a Windows thing, not something under Paint.NET's control. Even PhotoShop falls prey to the clipboard's inadequacies (same black background), so I don't think this will be "fixed" on Rick's end.

For now, you'll just have to save any PNGs to your computer and open them in PDN to preserve their transparency.
