blickbox
I have a photo where I need to make make a freehand selection, and get the square footage of the area I selected. I am able to find out how many pixels equals 1 foot. Are there any tools that will help me with this?
pdnnoob
The info bar at the bottom will show the area of the selection once you make your selection Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. midora
The Measure Selection plugin calculates the area of any selection for you. Foot is one of the supported units.
blickbox
The Measure Selection plugin calculates the area of any selection for you. Foot is one of the supported units. Thanks! That looks like what I need, but I'm not sure I understand how to use it... I've taken panorama photos of the area I want to meassure, but the left and right side of the image will obviously not be 100% to scale. I know the total width of the selection in meters, and the height at the center of the area. I guess that plugin won't take that into account? midora
If the image is distorsted then there is not a lot a plugin can do automatically. You would have to analyze the content of the image and try to figure out the transformation to calculate it back. If there are questions to a plugin you should post them in the plugin thread.
