setting secondary colour to transparent

Recommended Posts

im fairly new to paint .net but i love it-- more user friendly than myt paint shop and i can even save on the same format as it and using it if i need to :D

anyway, i read a tutorial that mentioned putting the primary colour of a gradient as white and setting the secondary colour to pure transparent-- maybe im missing something obvious but how do you do that?

click on your secondary color in the color menu, the click the "more" button. on the bottom of that menu is the alpha adjustment bar. setting that to zero makes the color transparent.

I was explaining something else with this image, but you can see what I mean here. The more button expands the window and gives more options (hence the button name). On the bottom of the list on the right is the "Transparency - Alpha" bar.
