mountnman
im fairly new to paint .net but i love it-- more user friendly than myt paint shop and i can even save on the same format as it and using it if i need to anyway, i read a tutorial that mentioned putting the primary colour of a gradient as white and setting the secondary colour to pure transparent-- maybe im missing something obvious but how do you do that? pdnnoob
click on your secondary color in the color menu, the click the "more" button. on the bottom of that menu is the alpha adjustment bar. setting that to zero makes the color transparent. EDIT: screenshot I was explaining something else with this image, but you can see what I mean here. The more button expands the window and gives more options (hence the button name). On the bottom of the list on the right is the "Transparency - Alpha" bar. mountnman
ahhhh my own stupidity --- i had moved my menus around so they didnt block the screen and had set that one too low to see the alpha adjustment -- thank you so much Quote SARCASM- Just one of the many services I offer free to the public.
