pen sketch

When i was running XP, there was Microsoft photo editor, and one effect that i cant seem to find/replicate was a pen sketch effect.

I was wondering if there was a plugin that replicated this?

The closest thing I can think of is Effects -> Artistic -> Ink Sketch, but I'm sure you could manually recreate an even closer effect with some experimentation.

Kind of... but in a single direction, and with the little wheel that lets you choose the angle. close though. I only use it for a select few pictures. mostly those I want to have the "nuclear explosion" type result. as a matter of fact, I just used Paint.net to revamp the original, and it looks much cooler. However, without the effect I used on the original, I will never be able to do this to another picture.
