patelsan
Just downloaded the Paint.Net, I have a very basic question - How do I get to the default selection mode? OR How do I get out of the "tool" mode. I am trying with 'Esc', but its not getting me back in the default selection mode. Idraw a line and want to select it back, but I cant do that as the Paint.NET is in line tool or some other tool.
Sarkut
Pressing F5 will toggle the Tools window. Click on one of the icons in the Tools window to change tools.
patelsan
Thanks for the quick reply. I want to get to the 'normal' selection mode (for example - I start a new drawing, draw a line and now I want to select the line). In visual studio and such environment you select a tool and when you want to get out of that tool you click a 'Cursor' icon (on clicking of that you exit the 'tool mode' and can select the object drawn previously). (in Paint.Net, I see options like 'Rectangle Select', 'Move Selected Pixel', etc. but I am not able to select the line I just drwan). Thank you for patience. Simon Brown
In Paint.NET, once you've drawn something, it's just pixels.

csm725
Inkscape would be a good vector graphics program - free.
