chesshorsey Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Does anyone perhaps know what program i need to change the extension of an animated gif image to jpg but without losing the transparrency and or animation inside the image? It is possible cause i seen animated gifs but when rightclicking it said jpg. What program can alter this? i really would like to know. Quote
Sarkut Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 chesshorsey, It is possible to change the extension of an animated GIF to .jpg by renaming and it will still work. However it is still a GIF file, even though it is misnamed with the .jpg extension. JPEG won't support transparency. Quote
Simon Brown Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Save the "animated jpeg" and open it in a text editor. The first few characters will tell you which format it really is. If it really is a JPEG, javascript might be used for the animation. Quote
