change animated gif to jpg while the image keeps its animation

Does anyone perhaps know what program i need to change the extension of an animated gif image to jpg but without losing the transparrency and or animation inside the image?

It is possible cause i seen animated gifs but when rightclicking it said jpg. What program can alter this? i really would like to know.

It is possible to change the extension of an animated GIF

to .jpg by renaming and it will still work.

However it is still a GIF file, even though

it is misnamed with the .jpg extension.

JPEG won't support transparency.

Save the "animated jpeg" and open it in a text editor. The first few characters will tell you which format it really is.

If it really is a JPEG, javascript might be used for the animation.
