ChrisLynch
So, I have created a number of 3D movie covers for my personal use. The images came out great. However, when I try to use a batch too to resize the images to something smaller (e.g. irfranview), the transparent background turned black. No matter what I use for batch processing, the image loaded and created has a black background. When saving to PNG with Paint.NET (ver 3.5.4 final), I used the default options. Had anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?
Sarkut
Irfanview displays against a black background, so, it will show through as black wherever there is transparency. If processed in Irfanview, then saved, does it open again in Paint.NET with black instead of transparency? Edited April 19, 2010 by Sarkut

If processed in Irfanview, then saved, does it open again in Paint.NET with black instead of transparency? Yes, I am aware of irfanview and its black background. I even adjusted irfanveiws defaults to display a white background. No difference. The background, after being saved within irfanview, is black instead of transparency. I'm attaching an example. If I use another thumbnail tool, it still displays a black background once saved as a PNG. Edited April 19, 2010 by ChrisLynch
Sarkut
After playing with Irfanview and doing some Googling, it seems that that's what Irfanview does. It is possible to change the background color that is added to something other than black, but i haven't found a way to make it simply leave the transparency in place.
