lila
Is the 2007 version of uploading plugins the correct procedure? I have tried to get the _unzipped_ plugins to C:\ where Paint.Net is installed and so far moving plugins to desktop or properties doesn't work. I have read post on this board. If anyone can point me to the newest version of "Installing Plugins to C:\ , I would KINDLY...appreciate. windows vista with sufficent space. lila
http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 Thanks...have read it so many times, but without clear and up to date instructions or a "read me" it is too much to assume those of us just learning Paint.NET effects for newer plugins...is not that easy. I will most likely uninstall Paint.Net and try again. Thanks for the url. L PS..love Paint.NET newest version. (it uninstalled beta version)
Sarkut
No need to uninstall Paint.Net. Post your questions in that thread. Be specific about what you have tried so far, and state what plugins you are trying to install. ================================================= Most plugins are Effects types. They go inside the Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects folder.
PeterG
In the case of "Effects" plugins.... Unzip them directly into the folder.... C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects..... OR to somewhere you keep downloads, then move or copy them to the C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects In the case of "FileType" plugins.... Unzip them directly into the folder.... C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\FileTypes......... Ensure Paint.NET is not running when you do this! Peter Quote When nothing short of Divine Intervention can get the job done! PeterG
Hello What I meant by "directly" is...... "Into".... ie...... When you unzip them, you will be prompted for a "destination" on your hard drive.... This will be either the "Effects" folder or the "File Types" folder depending on the type of plugin you are unzipping Peter Quote When nothing short of Divine Intervention can get the job done!
