dwengs
This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it yeah... I just saw now.. There are many tutorial like this, in this forum. But in my tutorials, i never use any effect non-default.It is the difference. Hi. I'm new boy at this site, but i'm using Paint.NET since 2.xx version. So i learned some tips and technics. I prepared a lesson about making "Logo"s. But before, everybody needs to learn simple things. I have 4 lessons more, i'll post it one by one. Let's Start. 1- Logo's size are generally 256x256 or 512x512 pixels. Canvas Size must be 512x512. 2- We will create elipse logo, so select the "Elipse Select". Then, pressing Shift key, make a circle. 3-We want to create a 3D image so we will use lights. Making light effects are simple, using "Gradient Tool" Select the "Gradient Tool" and select "Radial" 4- Then do the color works, same as in pictures below. Default Then, we change the colors like that. 5- Now, use the Radial Gradient like that. 6- But as we see, there is a wrong here. So, do that. --------------------- And, Done. Looking good. 7- Now, we will do small touch ups. Some Blur, And some Glow. 8- For the sides, ( pixels are maybe looking bad ) we will use Super Sampling Resize the image, 256x256. And optional you can make a shadow. But you can't make a shadow, skip this, i will teach that to you, in other lesson. Done. The Result is: I will open new topics about that lessons. Thanks for the read.

LFC4EVER
You've used the gradient tool in the tut, so its obvious that you're not using a 2.xx version. the gradient tool was introduced in v3.0. I like the fact that you want to teach people on how to use Paint.NET, and this is a well written tutorial, and you've clear spent some time on it. However, imo, its too simple.. you've basically done a tut on how to use the gradient tool, which can be clearly learnt in the Help webpages, so theres no need for a tut on the forum on the gradient tool. ___________________________ There are many tutorial like this, in this forum. But in my tutorials, i never use any effect non-default.It is the difference. If there are many tutorials like this, then why make another? And.. almost all tutorials on the forum don't use an effect with default settings. So it isn't the difference. ____________________________ PS i'm not trying to bite in anyway or form, and if i have i'm sorry, but i'm just making a point here. . . ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::.
