Dhr. Bosch
i have two images that where scanned to Paint.NET and rescaled to fit both fit on one A4 paper, selected and copied these images and pasted them to a A4 sized canvas Paint.NET tells me the selection is to large for the canvas and asks me if i want to resize the canvas or move the selection around till i've goet what i've looking for. with both options the selection is many times larger the even when i first scanned the image... is this a setting i should change or is this a bug

iPodLover
This is not a bug. When creating a new drawing or opening an existing one, the new graphic has got certain dimensions (width and height). When trying to paste something in the drawing that is larger, PDN doesn't know how to place the image to fit the old one. So it asks you, to resize it. If don't want to resize, choose to not to resize.

KillerK
iPodLover-from trying to read your post i dont think youve understood him properly or i havnt understood you properly, what i can understand from the OP's post is that his image is currently got its dimensions to fit the dimensions of an A4 of piece of paper and the dimensions of the pdn canvas is set to those exact same dimensions as an A4 piece of paper and the image he wants to paste in. im not sure when it would say the image is larger, check to make sure your dimensions are the same for both ( also check that there both set for pixels or cm ) if they are both exactly the same just choose to keep canvas size and manually resize your image to fit the canvas. hope it helps
