Josey21
Today I had to disable Windows Defender's Smart screen in order to use Paint.Net. This is kind of silly as it is in their store . I am using the latest Release of Paintdotnet of 5.0.12 along with Windows 11 Build 22631.2861. Maybe some one from here can tell them. I have put this in their Hub in the past. Pixey
I would say disable the smart screen, as it seems to be overly sensitive. One really only needs Windows Defender alone. Solution Tactilis Posted January 9 Solution Share Posted January 9 I'd agree with @Pixey The paint.net executable is signed to meet Microsoft's requirements as discussed in this thread: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/120861-installer-error-on-windows-11-22h2-smart-app-control As @Rick Brewster advises: On 11/22/2023 at 4:37 PM, Rick Brewster said: PDN is signed using Microsoft’s own Azure Code Signing service. If their Smart App Control still blocks PDN then this is a Microsoft bug and you need to talk to them.
