Ramona LAmONT
When an X is marked by a file image and name, that file can no longer be modified (no changes are saved). How does a file get an X (in red) or a checkmark (in green)? I can no longer use any file marked with an X! PLEASE HELP1
Rick Brewster
I don't understand what you're referring to, this doesn't sound like anything in Paint.NET. You'll need to post a screenshot of what's going on. When you hit "File" then "Open" all files in current folder are shown (this is within paint.net program) They all have either an X or checkmark next to them. HyReZ
I don't use One Drive or Google Drive but I do get the green check in another cloud storage app called 'Drop Box'. The X or check is not a Paint.NET problem. As Welshblue said, it could be a sync problem. This link may provide additional help: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/red-x-on-folders-files-or-hard-drive-in-windows-10 Edited November 9, 2019 by HyReZ
Rick Brewster
Yeah this doesn't sound like it's a Paint.NET issue at all.
