It doesn't have to be sad... For example, I visit the forum every day, but that doesn't mean I'm a big poster. It's just very helpful to read and it's fun to have a look at the pictures in the pictorium. People with a question often post only once or twice, because they recieve a good answer quick from the 'die-hard' PDN forumers.

"That's....uhmm.....sad."

I'm just a newbie here, so I hope I'm not being too forward. But it seems to me this might be the sign of a great program. It's easy for members to use, and works well for them. So they have no need to post! Well, that's my perspective, anyway.

All best :)

This is true, but.... what i'm getting at... is it would be nice to see more people log on and share in what they do or what they have learned while working in Paint.NET. I think if more people would do that, we could all learn from each other and/or draw ideas off each other.

- DO NOT contact me asking for the .pdn of my avatar or the PDN logo. Thank you. Have a nice day.

Well, this is happening over time. A year ago the forum was pretty much (1) bug reports, and (2) suggestions. There was no "pictorium," etc. The community just takes time to grow :)

You're right. This project is coming up on its second year (the forums on its first). I joined the bandwagon about early november of last year after hearing about it from a friend. I got into the forums because the install did not work for me (I believe now it was a registry edit problem in the installer). Then there was probably about 225 users at the time. The growth of the community on the forums has been exponential since then (And the use of Paint.NET overall is astounding now also.). I was then all over the bug reporting forum because of my install problem, with no idea of the general discussions other than effects and MDI and a pretty GUI. And I remember somebody complaining about the .NET framework saying it would "mess with his computer". It certainly has progressed. Once I got back to the forums after a period of silence around february and march, seeing the new forums like tutorials (The only person making them was Crazy Man Dan before) and plugins (everyone thought that the implementation was not very capable), I was stunned.

This place has grown a lot.
