  1. Thanks Vivian for the How Tos . Most interesting, informative  and a great video presentation. Fast enough to keep it moving along and yet slow enough to actually see what you're saying /doing, unlike so many on the UTube  that race along at warp speed with out a sniggle of explanation as to what is going on. Again, Thank You  Well Done.

  2. Egad! I'm and idiot ūüė≤, I failed t mention that "Survey¬† Scout..."¬† (up there¬†‚ėĚÔłŹ¬†somewhere) is a photo manipulation using Creative Commons images¬†from Pixabay.com.

Seriously, Very nice, the details  are very clean, as is the spinning seal, all are crisp and clear. The wood treatment is beautifully done.

If I may, could you review the shadows of the metal legs from the right side. I seem to not to see a shadow from the shelf above either.¬† I feel as if there should be a corresponding shadow, of the shelf, along the shelf surface as well.¬† Of course you have the real thing there and if my question is contrary to your real world view then you may feel free to tell me "go get -very full" (of food?) I think the expression is.ūüėČ

Finding on the internet picture #1 was, to me, a powerful graphic of what was, a vision of the massive struggle by firemen struggling to battle the fires after the earthquake of April 18, 1906 in San Francisco California.  I was struck by the possibility's of this picture and have tried to convey the monumental effect and efforts that were in play during this historical event.

  5. OH,OH, look at that! A time piece to tell the time with.   Well done with the changes both subtle and substantive. clap.gif.8c223bd2335e8eb1a6c4d9dbe7eec26a.gif

¬† You may now go on the project Next, with a happy heart--well something like that.¬†ūüėȬ†

  6. Pixey you are amazing, a word to oft bandied about, but in your case more than true and yet still slightly inadequate. I am in awe of your works. You do give me so many ideas to strive for. clap.gif.8c223bd2335e8eb1a6c4d9dbe7eec26a.gif Thank you.

  7. While all of these worthy answers/suggestions/ideas are totally with in the spirit of help and cooperation found on Paint.NET, not at all surprising.

But I would humbly suggest that instock reach out to the teacher and offer to help her/him with understanding How To Scan a page more successfully. I would venture that help would bring joy to all the students involved today and in future.

@ardneh Sorry, but that toast you entered is not allowable.  Also, If you want to comment, please don't do it in the entry thread, instead come to this area for that.  Thanks.

Thank you @lynxster4 for your nice comments.

Thank you @Scooter for your critique. Really appreciate the time it must of took you.

I don't think it's all 'Bla Bla. Mostly right about the shadow.ūüôÉ

In my defence, the clock case took about me about twenty minutes.

Actually, the main highlight is supposed to look like glass.

Obviously not right, that's why it's a work in progress.

Maybe I could get some pointers from the Queen of glass, @Pixey.

It is going to finish as a antique style mantle clock.

    Thank you all.

WHEEW ! Thank You,¬† for receiving my thoughts in the spirit intended--got'a¬† admit I wasn't worried in that regard ----until right as I clicked Send¬†ūüėß

  12. Not being totally sure of things that have power switches and do things with "0"s and "1"s all the while whirring and so on. I thought to use this forum to note I have changed/edited one of my Christmas SOTW entry's. Point of this note is for those who were so very kind,  giving me "likes". I hope the revision is also worthy of your previous  responses.   Thank You. bow.gif.f16ebeacbe99cd955dc9e199e343d74f.gif

    Hi @Pixey and @lynxster4.

    Here's another image.

It's actually a work in progress. I can't make my mind up what to with it.ūüôÉ

ipswichmanc¬† Very Well Done! The wood grain, brass also the polished metal dial great stuff.¬† As you have said this was a work in progress. If¬†I may, a personal thought, ¬†¬†I noticed, the main highlight appears¬†coming from in front and elevated over the viewers left shoulder. Then¬† there is a slight shadowing from the II diagonally to the VII. Then the arc (III to VI) along the outer edge of the dial is another lightened area. Giving me the impression that the dial/clock face is not flat but has a slight wave in it. It seems that the wood has not gotten the same highlighting design, as the face, in fact it seems to be slightly reversed from the dial's highlights, Also was confused by the 360¬į shadow at the base (i.e. against the "wall"). Please know that¬†I really like your work here. So much has been very well done and is most impressive (my jealousy knows no bounds) Feel perfectly free to tell me to Bla,Bla,Bla¬†and so on with my ideas.
