  1. Wanted to download G’MIC.

Note. I have not yet switched to paint.net Version 5 (not sure my system can handle it-yet)

    1.       Am currently still using paint.net Version 4.3.12 (Stable 4.312.8267.29064).

    2.       Went to G’MIC.eu. downloaded G’MIC Effect v3.1.6.1 (Gmic_win64.zip for X64 versions of windows 10).    Not the 3.1.6.4 for the new paint.net Ver 5 release

    3.       Went to my download file see #1 on illustration.

    4.       Found “Readme” see # 2 on illustration.

    5.       Did as instructed. Placed Gmic.dll and Gmic folder into paint.net Effects folder.

    6.       After restarting pint.net looked at “Effects-advanced. see # 3 on illustration.

    7.       No Joy, No EMIC. see # 4 on illustration.

    8.       I did remove and reinstall GMIC twice in hopes my technique had been faulty.

Is there a suggestion as to what would allow my being able to download the GMIC file?

@lynxster4Serenity was Creative Text Pro Plugin using one of the preset textures (honestly cannot remember which one). I think I played with the colour tint, duplicated the text twice, added drop shadow to the middle layer, blurred the third layer, then used Jitter at maximum on it & added a layer of radial gradient in orange & yellow & then used the transparent gradient to get rid of the excess. Font is the same I use for my sig - Fiolex Girls.

Thank you & @ReMakefor the likes too! I hope to be more active on here in the future. Poor health & job demands just sucked the life out of me. I have a new job teaching at a high school - distance education & I get to work with my hubby. Very close to home as well. Looking forward to a brighter 2023!

barbieque  your Serenity is just that, to look upon. As for the explaination above, I read it all with interest and am feverishly making notes.computer.gif

p.s. Someday I figure out just what you you said too. shy_happy_bounce.gif

Never mind, I've figured it out. all you need to do is use the magic wand and select the color, and on the top, click on flood mode and change it from continuous to global.

OK, great answer. I was  just trying to figure out this very thing. Put it into search and after a lot of entrys  Tada!, Here you and your answer are. Brilliant

I've refreshed the download. It still doesn't work. I'm not sure - but I think this is a forum issue.

    Here's a dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7634cz5qum18baf/EER's Plugin Pack v2.07.zip?dl=0

Well you'll be glad to know that I and my Com-min-Door 32 (joke) was able to use that dropbox link and downloaded all and sundry (though what I'll do with all those extra sundrys I will never know)478.gif.d175db427702c0816ccd293ff4eca958.gif

  7.   For the current OOF-Maps, I clicked on the link for EER's Relief Map Generator , which took me to the page. However, when I tried to download the .dll file it would not download but was flagged by Microsoft.

Make sure you trust ReliefMapGenerator.dll before you open it

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen couldn't veify if this file is safe because

it isn't commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust the file you're downloading or its source before you open it.

    Name: ReliefMapGenerator.dllPublisher: Unknown

After accepting file as a safe-trusted file download.  Was able to find the .dll in my Windows Download file.

    1. tried to install .dll in Program Files>paint.net> Effects folder  THEN
    2. tried to install .dll in Program Files>paint.net> File Types folder
    3. .dll did install in either folder
    4. Shut down paint.net, even restarted the compuer each try of installing
    5. But Relief Map Generator would not appear on paint.net  home page in Adjustments or Effects
    6. removed Relief Map Generator from computer.

Using: paint.net version 4.3.12,  Windows 10 , read reread the plug in installation pages-no joy

So embarrassing , What  have I gotten myself into now? 🤔

  8. I seem to get "Lost in the folds of life", often. This results in my missing new stuff on paint.net. It also dosn't help when my email "provider" drops the notifactions from here.  Regardless, all that aside. I just caught up with some of the new plug ins and thought I share (to be honest I did post the Brushstrokes on its publishing topic (Shhh dont tell the big guys).
