  1. Thanks for the tip. I wanted to move the palette because i was dragging images from my desktop to clean up the clutter and did not want to shut Paint.Net down between image views. The palette was just in the way.
  2. If I show my Tool palette and close all images in Paint dot net, the tool palette canot be moved from it's screen position. I epect that when the paintDotNet window is active any windows associated to it would be movable and or closeable. I could even ecpect the parent window to activate when a child window is clicked (the Tool palette I am calling a child of the parent PaintDotNet window- don't remember if that is the proper Windows terminology to use in this case but I'm sure you get the idea) .
  3. Where is the tutorial (link in the first post)? I get a server error...
  4. Try IrfanView to control palette and number of colors in your image
  5. I find it difficult to modify a selection (like subtract from it) if there are very many pieces to the selection. I have a png image about 1200 * 1000 px I use magic wand select globally and get a selection with probably thousands of islands. I want to remove some of these islands and try to deselect with the rectangle tool but after I set the first corner PaintdotNet chokes and it takes litterally several minutes befor I can set the second corner of the rectangle. Forget about trying to draw a deselection with the lasso tool... Any suggestions? 2,4GHz QuadCore 3,5GB RAM Windows XP
  6. I have a 2,4 GHz QuadCore with 3,5Gb of RAM and I have difficulty selecting many areas (like when subtracting with rectangle tool from a magic wand selected bunch of areas).
  7. I find that PaintDotNet is very sluggish when trying to handle large files and that would, by necessity, include images of sizes like those you have created.
  8. Thanks for the Perspective (Beta) I've been looking for that distortion since I installed Paint.NET. Although I would prefer a graphic interface where the corners of a bounding box are moved to effectuate the perspective distortion I realize that such a plugin is an entirely different (and more difficult) development. This works just great! I do have corrections to the language and some other suggestions if you would like, (see image) Thanks again! /Gregors
  9. What I want to do with a selected area is blur the background, just a little close to the selection area and more and more the further from the selection you get. (Am I clear or blurry?) Is there a selection grow or shrink plugin?
