    There's a plugin called splatter (Sorry, too tired to find link). Then try PS brushes (somebody posted a link to convert them to PDN use)

    Thanks Welsh. I have seen the Medal tutorial. I tried it, but mine came out looking flat and undetailed. My medals were based as closley as possible from my original KvK 2: http://fallschirm-jaeger.deviantart.com ... -133291657 The KvK 1was an easy modification...recolour, remove the ribbon, and add a pin. For all the collectors out there, yes, I messed up the coke-bottle pin.

    Thanks! I want to find a way to make the supernova more realistic...the one I made was a few months ago and needs an overhaul

    I can't help with metal signs, but if you want it to look like an old wood sign, try this: Plan the shape of the sign. Add noise and duplicate the layer. Motion blur on the new layer. Make the design on a new layer. Merge the wood layers, and place them above the deisgn layer and go crazy with the eraser. For metal, I guess you could try rendering clouds to simulate rust, but that's the extent of what I've tried.

    that pot looks great! Couldn't find the sphere plugin, but I found the lens plugin viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21750&hilit=lens Yes, they do they same thing. I have lens and sphere and checked.

    I've accepted that you made it. Some are just better than others...I failed miserably at making a rose, but can make other thigs rather well. Your rose lokos great...it's kinda scary...

    I'm not completley sure about the rose either... It can be done...some of the members have proven that such realism is possible But...the lighting and colour is too perfect... I'm stuck yes/no is it P.N

    Here's my latest attempt at realism: War Merit Cross First Class: War Merit second Class I tried to copy the details of my original second class as closely as possible (Except the patina that has developed). That can be seen here: http://fallschirm-jaeger.deviantart.com ... -133291657 From what I've seen on better condition originals, the finish wasn't really shiny, so I tried to dim down the shine a bit on them.

    I'm downloading Inkscape right now. Hopefully the files work. I looked at Illustrator...I could get it for the great, low price of $599.00..For that price, I'd rather buy rosetta stone and learn Ukrainian...

    I'm expecting an email from a friend who uses mostly Illustrator. I'm wordering if there is a program, plugin, somehing I can use to view or convert files from Illustrator to PDN.

    This is my best realism so far...took advantage of some photoshop brushes and most of my blurring effects to finish this. This is to look like my workbench after a long night of painting

    Înteresting...I might try that. Other than colouring black and white photos, I can't really do much else with the program when it comes to editing photos. I started off small by trying to remove a soda can (Was Mountain Dew around in 1943?) original:

    Looks good...anime isn't my interest, so I can't really critisize it, but it looks cool. Here's a paint brusch sig I made for some model building forums I'm on. I made this because everybody wants a painting tutorial from me, but I can't translate it quickly enough into German and Russian....so they get this for now The bristles came out better than I thought when I made them (The transparent checkerboard messes me up a lot)

    regarding the first image...there is a plugin named splatter...creates something similar.

    make sure theres no remaining outline/ misc colours around the objects... then feather and merge layers
