  3. Hi again! This is a tut for making something that in a way looks like plants... well I think so. Some may say that the result has a resemblance to the "make a wave" effect, but it is in most ways very different. Anyway, it should give you a result like this: Before we start you need these plugins: Flip Horizontal KaleidoGen Now we can start! Here's what you do: Open a new project and paint the background black (I added the black later as you can see in the images, but doesn't matter when you add it.) Add a new layer :AddNewLayer:. apply KaleidoGen with quantity of shapes: 15, drawing area width: 505, drawing area hight: 285 and overlay amount: 1. Now use Zoom Blur Deluxe :ZoomBlur: With quality: high and amount: 4-5. Duplicate layer :DuplicateLayer:. Add Twist :Twist: with amount/direction: 30,00, the rest at default settings. On the top layer you Duplicate layer :DuplicateLayer:. Now use the Flip Horizontal :Horiz: plugin. On the top layer set the Layer Blend Mode :Properties: to glow. Merge  the layers and your done! Hope you like this plant-like grass/wave thing Comment and show your result, and tell me if something is wrong. You can also use this to make other things:
  4. Hi! This is a tut for making fire... and yes, I am aware that there are a few fire tut's out there. But hey... if there's several ways of starting a fire in real life, there should be room for another way of making fire in Paint.NET  This tut should give you something like this: Now, this is what you need of 3rd-party plugins: -Dents (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26244) -Average Blur (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22881) -Wobble (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26244) Now we should be ready to start! First open a new project and set it to the size you want. Use the Paint bucket :PaintBucketTool: to paint the backgroud black. Open a new layer :AddNewLayer: Now apply Clouds :Clouds: at difference. Do this about 4 times. Don't be afraid to do it more or less, this is a very flexible step and the amount of times you repeat it shouldn't effect the outcome. Use Lasso Select :LassoTool: and choose about half of the layer so that you get a weave like selection. Cut out the top half. Now use Dents with General: Scale 185, amount 90 and Detail: Detail 100, roughness 70. Then use Curves :Curves: (RGB) to give color. Use Average Blur with radius 3. Then apply Motion Blur :MotionBlur: with an angle of about 90,00 and distance 200. then use Sharpen :Sharpen: with amount 20. Do this 2 times. Then use Glow :Glow: at default settings. Do this 2-3 times. Now use Wobble with amount 0,60 and wobbles 14,00. Then apply Dents with General: Scale 200, amount 20 and Detail: Detail 100, roughness 70. duplicate :DuplicateLayer: the layer. Now, on the top layer, use Gaussian Blur :GaussianBlur: with radius 150. Then set the Layer Blend Mode :Properties: to Screen (If you prefer another blend mode use that). Merge  the layers, and your done! You can also add Soften Portrait :SoftenPortrait: to give a softer look. That was that! Please comment and show your result. Just say if there's any problems or faults, like if you don't think there's room for more fire effects
  5. Thank you Wow, what a great result you got there Ouchy_S, it's really cool! Keep it up!
  6. Hi! This is a tut for making... well I'm not really sure what it is so... but it will hopefully let all of you make something like this: This is my first tut so probably not the best, but hope you like it Should be a pretty easy one. Now let's get started! For this tutorial you will be using: Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom Blur Deluxe Jitter (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5435) Seamless Texture Maker (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5334&hilit=seamless+texture+maker) 1. Start by opening a new project and set the size to 1280x800 (It does'nt have to be that size, it's just what I used. But remember that the result may be different with another size.) Fill it with black :PaintBucketTool: 2.Now add a new layer :AddNewLayer: and use the Mandelbrot Fractal at default settings. Now you have this: 3. To get it to the centre of the image use the Seamless Texture Maker at default settings. 4. Now use the Jitter effect with amount 210 and the rest at default. Like this: Then you use the Zoom Blur Deluxe :ZoomBlur: at high quality and an amount of about 6. Like this: Now all you have to do is merge  the layers and your done! Hope you all liked this short tut and maybe you'll find out what it looks like  Please comment and show your result, and tell me if there is something wrong or if you have some ideas to make it better.
  7. This is really great and so easy to follow Here's my result:
  8. Very cool tutorial Here's my result. I mostly did the same, just played a little with other effects like :SoftenPortrait: soften portait and :Sharpen: sharpen.
