heres the cat head with ashes fur/grass tut, i like the concept but dono how well its looks on it, any sugjestions?

im working on drawing a picture of my cat, not really sure why lol just bord. but i have the general outline of the face done, im working on the fur. I no i think it was ash had a tut on making fur, but iono if it would work or not. basically right now im drawing it in with pencil and its taking forever. so if you can think of any easier way thatd be awsome. heres wat i have. iono, ya it seems weird, ive never got that message before, and the image i was trying to post has actually been on here once before so i know its not to big.

Every time i try to upload a picture onto the forums i get the message, Attamachment quata has been reached, what does this mean?

I always find myself looking for inspiration to draw something new, for instance i always find myself drawing musical instruments of things that have to do with them because I my self am a musician. When ever i try to think of something other to draw I draw a blank. I love to draw but sometimes wish there was something to inspire me. Sometimes I will look through the forums for inspiration, but I love when people ask me to draw something specific for them. I love projects! I was looking through the forums for a topic simular to this one, asking people for inspiration to draw something new and couldn't find one, that surprised me. Maybe people could post some things that they like to draw or would like to seen drawn, I know I'd love it. Have fun!

on one layer do the gradient in one direction, then make another layer and do it in the opposite direction. Then click layer-properties-blending mode-overlay(thats the one i use, but choice what you like) heres a pick, i think this is what you wanted. if not leme know.

well first of all happy birthday to your daughters!!! If i was you i would just keep the image simple but neat and nice looking. i didnt see your orginial idea on the post, but id choice something they like or wat ever you want on the card. for instance maybe a present on the front with a bow and a wrapping paper or there favorite cartoon or something, i know my sisters are into hello kitty. that would be simple to do in Shape 3D and would look crisp and look much harder to do that it was. i hope that helps! leme know if you have any questions.

Thanks again Diabolicus, i wanted to try that guitar again cus i needed to make it bigger and you can see the blur from enlarging it, i thought id try a different approach this time.

try shape 3D maybe and wrap the eyes and hair and stuff to it for the face atleast. ill try to see if i can do it.

haha thanks for the definition i wasnt sure what that word ment . okay i saw him post that in the pictorium and i got curious. He said most PS brushes were is .PGN format but all mine are in .ABR...lol. wat ever thanks bolt im not going to worry about it, PDN has plenty of features to use on it

I saw that expiration said that he converted PS brushes into PDN to use them, which made sense, but i was trying to figure out how to do it and got stuck, i used to use PS (until my free trial expired...lol) but then switched to PDN. I love PDN but i have a bunch or brushes that would be cool to get onto PDN. Thanks for any help!

thanks Diabolicus, yep all on pdn. just the pencil and the curves/lines tool, i used the checker board effect for the mesh but thats the only plugin.

I used a couple tuts and put this together. I think it looks kinda kool. iono. still some work needs to be done, but any way. I call it Ring Around A Rosey (oops i guess the image would be nice )

So i this was one of the first few tuts i followed on PDN and i cant remember the name of it so i dont know what to search. I went into the tut forum and scanned and didnt see it. does any one recognize it? and know where i can go to find out how i made it again? i kinda remember but i dont remember the details. Thanks!

well good luck to you with that . maybe ill try some more tuts to get familiar with some of these plug-ins.

ya i guess i kinda figured that. i really dont think im a terrible artist. i just think i need to work on coloring. but in pdn its really even more of just understanding plug-ins and how they work.

hum..i guess i do that sometimes, maybe this is one of those practice makes perfect things

So it seems like i always have a hard time coloring on PDN, and im not really sure why. I can do detailing and sketching and shaping really well, or at least much better than coloring. Does any one have any advice on how to help me to learn to color? That almost sounds funny to say lol, but I'm having a hard time. Ill post a couple things ive done so many you can give me some tips. Thanks!

wither what could i do to help me improve my coloring? im great at shaping and drawing but my coloring is always terrible... edit: sketching/drawing was always my strength in my art classes i guess it carried over
