  1. I think I know why what you are talking about is confusing. When you say vectorise, are you talking about converting an image to vector format or simply getting a vector-style effect?

Exactly!:D I'm talking about achieving the effect, I don't even know what a "vector format" is.

Then why are you calling it a vector!

  2. The plugin makes my computer use 450 k of my RAM memorey, can someone please tell me what to do to make that go away?

...Unless your running a computer which struggles to run Half Life on low, I doubt how that's a problem. 450 kb of memory isn't even half of a megabyte, and most modern computers have a RAM between 1000-2000 MB, which is 1-2 GB's of RAM.

Anyways, if you want the usage of memory to go down, delete the plugin.

Sorry, I meant 450 000 kb, 450 Mb, sorry about that

    ...450 MB!

How do you know it's that much anyways? Now, can you tell us how much memory PDN uses without the plugin installed?

  4. One of my favourite features of Firefox and Notepad++ is the ability to automatically load the state of the application when it last closed when the program starts. This minimises effort when re-continuing a project after closing the program.

I am requesting this feature in Paint.NET where I would find this even more useful, particularly as the program has to be closed when installing effects.

I like this idea. Seconded, if it's not too much trouble.

I'd prefer it also to be optional, so that you don't always have to restore your session.

  5. sabrown, you're rather creative with bringing up new submenus and I have one recommendation: Make a new submenu called "Other" and if you have no idea where to place an effect take "Other".

The problem is that it is often difficult to know whether a certain type of plugin will be a one-off or one of several.

    Then don't put it in a sub-menu?

  6. May I ask one question: How did you manage to access multiple layers from an effect plugin?

Heh, mabye if Curtis gave us some extra info on how he got the layer data, someone would be able to create a plugin where your able to get effects to effect a selected amount of layers.

  7. Yes, while PDN supports TT type fonts (true-type fonts), several other types are left out, and if you want to use a font for some artwork which isn't TT, then you'll have to convert your .PDN to a .PSD so it can then be put on the artwork on either the GIMP, PS, or any other graphic editor.

What I'm wondering is if you'll be able to expand this support to all font file types, or is it not possible?

  8. No. People wished for custom brushes. Users yearned for that added feature-set. It was given to them because someone saw a chance of improvement over PDNs current brush system.

The same can be said with the text tool. There is room for improvement, someone should seize the opportunity.

If you want custom fonts, go to dafont.com or author your own, no-one here needs waste their time on that.

Or someone could implement something similar to Splatter and the Custom Brush plugin and use that for fonts.

  9. Actually, Andrew, we have.

Champjev: Yes, this IS the discussion thread. You're not MEANT to post it in the discussion thread. And also, there is not, as far as I can see, anything in your post stating that you wanted to know whether it fits the theme. As I said, I do not wish to be offensive, I'm just saying. If I sound rude, then it's your interpretation of my meaaning. Other people may have different interpretatations.

Anyway, argument over, let's all be happy.

    What is the theme then?
