Please read the rules. Especially the one saying "No advertising for artists"

No clue how hard it would be to code though. >_>
All pictures have a thing called a "vanashing point". Every single line originally comes from that point. Basically, to get it right, the plugin has to find the original vanishing point my finding all the straight lines and matching them up to find where they orginally come from, something which would need a ton of simulatenous equations for. Then the plugin has to change every single pixel and line so it's in another perspective, though when you change perspective, you see a different picture with new bits on and old bits chopped off.
it's a mathematical nightmare to try and figure out, at least if you want it done correctly.
-
You know there is perspective in EVERY picture, right?
Anyways, doing something like this would be extremely hard to get done.

Mabye a sig advertising or about Paint.NET?

What I 'd like to do is create a background for my website but would like to use a picture that relates to the site. How can I do that? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!
This isn't a Paint.NET question. Read the rules and forum descriptions please.

It's not just that you have a *.pdn, but rather the file contents that will go a long way toward proving that the image was created in Paint.NET(e.g., layers intact, blending modes used...). This is all assuming that the member's "Made in Paint.NET" assertion is questioned.
What stops someone opening their otherway created image in Paint.NET and saving it as a PDN file?Maybe requiring the *.pdn be uploaded in order for images to be considered for entry in the gallery. There can be a tad problem asking for PDN's for some images though, say one of mine has, lets see....50 odd layers between 2 PDN files.
Although that was an exceptetion.
Anyways, I like that idea. If it's just one layer, well.....It probably isn't deserving of being in there in the first place anyways

Hi,
If I open the attached image in Paint.NET I cannot then do a Save As in JPG format. After clicking Save on the Save As dialog, I get the "Save Configuration" dialog with the message "Preview, file size: (error)" (see attached error1.jpg). If I click OK anyway I get an error message "There was an unspecified error while saving the file." (error2.jpg) and a 0-byte file is created. I'm able to save other files in .jpg format (the disk isn't full!) and I can save the attached image as .PNG, open that, then save it as .JPG.
Um, ok - the forum won't let me attach the file because it's too big (1MB). I've uploaded it to my website: http://www.orrison.com/blue%20stripe%20suit-016.jpg
(Why am I just opening the .JPG and then doing Save As .JPG? I'm resizing it, but that step isn't necessary to reproduce the problem.)
Very interesting... Windows Paint, Microsoft Office 2003 Picture Manager, and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer are also unable to save the file. Firefox can, but I suspect that it's just copying the disk file rather than trying to save the image that it has loaded into memory.
Hardware/Software details: Dell Optiplex GX520, Celeron 2.6Ghz, 1GB RAM, 75GB HD (24GB free), Windows XP SP 2 using Paint.NET v3.20 (Final Release build 3.20.2902.32954). Same thing happens at home on my Acer Aspire E300 with 1.5GB RAM, running Windows XP SP 2 using Paint.NET v3.22 (Final Release build 3.22.2933.24445).
Thanks,
Randy Orrison
(I had used the Help / Send feedback or bug report on 28 December, which created an email to paint.net@hotmail.com, but I have received no response of any sort.)
I think the image is corrupted in some way. Sorry, but the only way you can fix this is by re-taking the picture.

I think there should a restriction on the amount of threads a person can post there, everywhere bar the discussion thread, though, just so people don't spam a lot.
Anyways, I like the idea.

Thanks for your reply and I understand that. But for some reason the program still shows up in the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs.
Now I tried to install the new version of Paint.NET 3.22 which is not getting installed and gives the same error.
So I think there is some kind of link between the two.
Vishal
The thing you have to do is get all the program files back, place them in the right place, then un-install. Then you can re-install.
The only down-side is that it will be quite hard to get the program files for it, unless Rick can send them to you.

I have been trying to un-install Paint.NET 3.07 from my system's control panel after the folder for Paint.NET got accidentally deleted from my computer. But every time I do so it gives me the following error:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I have installed the Microsoft's .Net environment again on my system, but that does not help.
Will appreciate some help in this regard.
Thanks,
Vishal
The fact that Paint.NET is deleted means that it dosen't exist, the reason you can't un-install it is because there is nothing to un-install.
-
No, mainly for two reasons.
1. PDN is not Photoshop.
2. The Effects API between the two are so different it would be impossible to do.
Also, this should be in the General Discussion/Questions forum.
-
Please, you've already asked this question bar with different wording in another thread, there is no point in making another one.
Secondly, there is NO point in trying to put this project into the Paint.NET source code unless your trying to build it for your own needs, which is pointless as you can just put the .dll in the Effects folder, and if you want to use Paint.NET over a shared network, just change the default installation route when installing to a shared folder/server.
Finally, this has nothing to do with the Effect API, so it's in the wrong place.

What do you mean by "reset"?
And by the looks of it, you may not have the access to install it.
-
Go into your Paint.NET directory files and click on "PDNRepair"
That could solve your problem.

I there's too many good sigs for us to vote on 1, mabye two? And the top 2/3 are winners, because of the amount of entries?
-
I read how to do it but it is still not working. Is there a problem?
What are you going on about? Please be more concise so we are able to help you.

Why would you want WordArt? it makes the best images in the world look extremely bad. Say you put some yellowish-bold Arial Black on the Mona Lisa, it would have been burnt the second someone saw it.
I disagree. I get sick of seeing posters using Word"Art" enough.
-
Yes but everytime I reinstall Windows...
How often do you do that?
Adding on to that, why are you re-installing Windows?
-
Plugin's are their to help create art, not to help mimic art. The world's best plugin which is used for art can not match up to artistic skill.
-
I'm always unistall any previous version before installing new. I'm always using custom install and I pick custom folder for installation. I'm not changing installation folder after installation.
Could you show us what the message is when that screen pops up? I don't mean the error message, I mean the box below that with all the exception details.

Error "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Staging" when installer is closing system restore point
I'm using Custom install and intalling program in "C:\Program Files\Grafika\Paint.NET (v3.22)" not "C:\Program Files\Paint.NET"
When I click "Continue" installer hangs.
When I use default path everything works OK.
Version 3.20 works OK. Tested version 3.22 Beta 2 and 3.22.
Did you change the default path after installation, or when you first installed Paint.NET? If so, the only thing you can really do is remove Paint.NET and re-install it correctly. Changing the directory after installation causes lots of trouble.

Translation:
Dear Members of the Paint.NET forum community,
In Paint.NET versions 3.00 and 3.10 there was a feature known as "Editor". Where is this in version 3.20? This seems to be missing in the latest version.
If this is to be reimplemented in version 4.00, then nevermind.
There was a feature called "Editor"? :?

this is awsome even though ive not fully grasped how to use it i will master it soon this will help in many things it seems complicated but im starting to understand. you have the shape you want. the desired rotation and all the other things. ive just downloaded it and i might try to make a rubiks cube in it
R3VENGE, please read the forum rule saying that the amount of images in your sig must not be larger than 500px. Your sig has two images which when combined have a height larger than 500px.

"Es steht nicht genug Speicherplatz auf dem Datenträger zur Verfügung."
Oh... This means the Device doesn't have enough place any more...
I've allready seen the Thread with the popular requests
Which rule should I've broken?
What do you mean by "device"?
And, the only thing was the tad over-use of exclamtion marks. That's it really. Nothing to worry about.

usedHONDA had this problem installing Paint.NET when he had the XP Service Pack 3 RC (more like beta though), so just revert back to SP2, and everything will work again.
That should fix it.
