This is just an FYI about the link in Post #1 on http://forums.getpai...uble-read-this/ the link is broken and the thread is locked, so I couldn't report it on the thread.
-
I mentioned Norton because sometime it blocks Plugins and gives error messages.
I've got another link for you here to read with the proper link to downloading the .net Framework.
-
Hi again @Mac. Please read this thread and there is a link to .net framework in the first paragraph. Also, as I mentioned in the other post you made, Norton may be the trouble maker!
EDIT: I notice that the link to the .net framework in the thread I gave you is not working. Perhaps this link will do the same job, but I'd prefer a Moderator say that this new link
is the correct one.

Hi @Mac and Welcome to PDN. You seem to be experiencing troubles (I see your other post and will answer that separately).
I see you have Norton. Perhaps you should read this thread on the subject, in case this is the problem.

Hi @starwood and welcome to the forum
Argh - I once had a Lexmark which was p a i n.
Here is an exerpt from FAQ's by the boss himself on this subject.
Why can't I scan or print?
There are three possible reasons. The first is that you are using a "portable" version of Paint.NET -- a copy that is running on a USB stick, for instance. The WIA system component simply may not be installed in this case, as it requires proper installation and registration.
Second, if you can't scan, then maybe your scanner doesn't support WIA. You can check to see if you scanner supports WIA by verifying that it shows up in the "Scanners and Cameras" control panel. Some scanners or cameras require that special software or drivers be installed before they work with WIA.
The Windows Image Acquisition system service must also be enabled. This may be disabled if you have "tweaked" your system, or if you are running Windows Server where it is set to Disabled by default. Simply set it to "Automatic" or "Automatic (Delayed Start)" and it should work.
If regular Paint can't see your devices, then Paint.NET will not be able to either. -

Here is an explanation of how the Magic wand works.
You could select a pixel by using the rectangle select Tool, like this:

I've tried to re-produce this problem in v4 and it's working fine, zoomed up to max it moves at approx 1 px per hit of the arrow.
Edit: I mistakenly said 5 px per hit when I posted yesterday ....... I meant 1px per arrow hit.

Take a seat and have a look to your art. :-)
Great incentive for me to make more. I just love making these gifs, and thanks to your Plugin they are so easy.
I just noticed you are in Switzerland. I lived there for five years; first in Nidau and the last year in Geneva. Much preferred Nidau and absolutley loved Bern .

Well - it's still impressive

Wow! How quick was that . Impressive .
In line at the DMV - Ugh - that can take hours - bet you wish it'd been at McDonalds instead .

Hi @Spzi - I'm afraid that v3.5.11 is no longer available and since you've downloaded and uninstalled you will now have to read through this thread .

Thank you SO much Helen, Seerose, Dryda and Max. Thanks for stopping by to comment. It's all @AFG's fault as he got me started on painting portraits. Wonder where he is? Miss him .

Hi @Lex and Welcome to the forum
Here is a diagram of how to do this. I hope it's what you are looking for. You must place the cursor close to the 'nubs' till you see a hand. Then with the shift held down pull the edges. Holding the shift will keep the image in proportion.
Good luck!
