@Racerx - you could have left your original SOTW #138 entry intact, and entered the one you replaced it with, separately. That way the first one could have been voted on .

Nice to see you posting work again. A lovely silhouette image, which compliments your avatar as well .

Very pretty pictures indeed - I feel like I've been on a tour

You're welcome @Doughty. I apologize for not asking @Maximilian for clearer directions before I posted the Comp. If necessary we can extend the comp time submissions if needed .

An outline of a silhouette? Can that mean a high contrast image?
Hopefully @Maximilian can give us an example of what he would like us to make

Four more beauties @Limon . Can't pick a fave as they are all lovely renditions.
I see you are from Sweden - perhaps you know our @Nightnurse79 .

Hi Hippie and Welcome to the forum .
Although you say you are not interested in playing cards per se, this tutorial may aid you in the use of layers, etc.

The theme this week is – "SILHOUETTES"
which has been chosen by – Maximilian (SOTW #137 winner).
This week you're challenged to design and create a signature to depict Silhouettes.Examples here - depicting reasonably distinguishable outlines (not full objects) as the main element against any background.
The deadline for entries is 7:00pm (GMT +0) on Tuesday 13th of October 2015.
To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time
Competition Rules
1. Max sig dimensions 500x200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500x150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig.
2. Please keep your sig family friendly.
3. Keep to the theme that has been set.
4. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline!
5. Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous.
6. Your entry must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work.7. There are multiple entries per entrant allowed.
The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering.
Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler, Nitenurse79 and DrewDale for keeping this comp going in the past
This thread is for posting your entries only.
If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here..

"To expect a lot of people who are not graphic software users, programmers, or the Sheldon Coopers' of the world, to figure it out on their own on a written tutorial or outdated videos because they got a 'kind-a-sort-a' idea on some of it....well, ok. That kinda sorta sums that up." ScrapbookWithPDN.

In my experience on this forum, since I joined in 2007, is that most folks prefer the written tutorials to videos.
Part of the learning experience is by discovering how the system works. When I first opened PDN I didn't know what anything did. I learned by trial and error, many times with sad results.
Some people, on the other hand, will just not be suited to using PDN.

Congratulations everyone. Such imaginative entries this week. Thank you all for your entries and to the members for their votes. I will be in touch with Maximilian for the next theme. I have not heard from Chimay, so will assume it's alright for me to host until we hear from him. Hopefully he is well.

Many thanks Eli and TR. This time I remembered to keep the lines simple and also to deselect a lot more, and came up with this. But - BOY - this sort of stuff is sure persnickety and requires a steady hand. Also, had trouble lining up the little, itty-bitty fingers . But after some coloring, later in paint.net, it's not so obvious. I've a still a lot more to learn from this Plugin and will have to practice a lot more.
You chaps who made this Plugin are really amazing .

It's OK @Seerose ....... yours is fine. Racerx first put up one with a candle, a pumpkin and a skull, and then he replaced it with one that couldn't be voted for (as he says it's not made in PDN). I hope he puts up the original one, as this competition allows more than one entry.
@Racerx - I hope I'm understanding what you are saying? That the replacement was not all made in PDN. now I'm getting confused.
