  1. When moving a layer (moving the drawn object on the canvas), it is visible that the entire rectangular area is selected and moved. Does paint.net plan on having this changed so that the selection is made around the drawing, i.e. transparent pixels are not selected. Which would lead to the great functionality which is lacking in paint.net and that is CTRL CLICK layer to select the drawn image minus all transparent areas on the layer. And finally, will a pen tool be made available to draw paths. This works with CTRL CLICK option above, as a path is usually needed to make a selection. Thanks
  2. I was looking for something that has the tools needed to do this. In fireworks for example, you draw the slices and when you export as html, it will automatically save each slice as an image. The benefit? I can modify the design again, from a small modification as in your template, if you wanted to change the button that says community to forums, you need to re-slice the image to exact size and positions. And of course with larger modifications, it ends up being more work. Also you can resize slices to suit your modifications. Thanks though, I don't have a design that I need to slice up, I have just worked with photoshop and macromedia products and wanted to know how you guys here work with this. Seeing what alternatives there are.
  3. For a website, images are usually cut up into pieces, and when exported are saved as a separate image for each sliced piece, which then can be positioned with html tables or css on a web page.
  4. After using pdn, if using it for a web site design, what application do you guys use to slice the image up? I used fireworks from macromedia for a while. Actually if I need to do it now, thats what I would need to install and use.
