  1. Doesn't look quite...right...I guess. Could be the use of lines in between shades of grey, could be the transparent "diamond" shape not quite matching up with the shadow, could be lack of true "shiny-ness"...? :?

  2. Eh, I'm still a little skeptical as to it's usefulness. Most of the tool (all? :P) use the cursor, so as soon as you hit ok the cursor jumps to the position? Then you have to pause and find your mouse again...you can't move it until you see it...and what would happen if you have to click and drag to some coordinates? You can't jump to that...

It sounds to me the best option would just to be to tell people "go to 300, 456234" or something. :?

  3. Thanks! I got the idea from this

You're welcome...when I see good stuff done by some of the people on this forum my first inclination is to try and figure out how they did that (did he do this...no...perhaps this...no...). I need to get better at surpressing my second inclination...which is to immediately scream TUTORIAL!!! :D Just out of curiousity, how long have you been actively using Paint.Net?

  4. @jpope: amazing dude. Better than me, really. :?

@Ash: Good stuff...looks a bit more realistic, too many triangles on the first one imho, also both images are suffering severly in the "i need to be feathered or at least smoother" department...

@Madjik: I like. However, the shadow appears to be too 3D...like it's a shadow person rather than an actual silhoutte. Perhaps in the way the rays shine...?

  5. Wow, barkbark...you've graced us with three distinctly awesome pictures in one day...I think my head might explode.

The first one = all right...but I agree...the checkerboard is a bit much.

The second one = wow really trippy...quite an interesting effect, I'll have to try and replicate it tomorrow

The third one = my favorite...looks pretty sharp, a bit on the dark side, especially at the top (I can't tell what the top is actually) but it inspires me to attempt something similar for my new website...

    Good job! :D
