If you mean the the Kanji ( system 4 of writing in Japan), They contain several meanings: 1. my first name and family name: 2. A word or More. 3. every character have a Pronunciation and symbol for Word or more. for example: the character 諸 have the pronunciation of "Sho" and have the Meanings of words like : various; many; several.
