Guest Who
...to stretch those PDN muscles. Pick a graphic done in some other app then show us your best knockoff in PDN. A side by side comparison would be neat to see. Unfortunately, I have nothing to declare at this time. I just thought about this seconds ago. Plus I'm still chicken to show my work  . Bob
http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/screenshots.html IMHO the power-lines removal seems to be great. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. Guest Who
I meant to just find a pic done with some hi-end software and see if someone could duplicate some if not all of the picture with PDN. Crazy Man Dan
Well, I guess I'll post up the first ones : I've actually posted the PDN of this before, but now I'll also post up the original: Ragir image original - Made with The GIMP: Full Size Ragir image reproduction - Made with Paint.NET: Full Size I made the original from an idea I got from a WindowsBlinds Vista theme color for a window button in the task bar that wants focus, and I went from there. I liked the concept, and I wanted to see how closely I could replicate it in PDN. I knew I wouldn't be able to reproduce the background exactly (in GIMP, it was made with a render effect), but I actually prefer the PDN version due to a few concept revisions I made in the reproduction, mainly the reduction in the height of the bar. So yeah, that's my first addition to the CHALLENGE! Whaddaya think? Guest Who
CMD, I remember seeing this on PDN before. Still, It's some pretty cool looking work. Currently, I'm trying to duplicate some Mac icons. I like that glass-like work that they do. Guest Who
Just noticed BuzzKill's tutorial. Looks pretty slick. That and CMD's glass orb tutorials are very inspiring.
