cgaskell
Hi, I'm aware you can rotate a layer and I have not got a problem with that. But is it possible to define the position of the axis before rotation? Thanks, Chris
Myrddin
No, not using Layers > Rotate / Zoom, nor using the Move Pixel Tool ( ) and right-click rotating, which also uses the centre (of the selection) as its point of rotation. I am not too sure if there is some trick one can use to get around this shortcoming, it is not a feature I use regularly, I have to admit. Sorry. Does this answer you? david.atwell
The trick or workaround would be to enlarge the canvas to put the axis where you need it. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Mike Ryan
Or perhaps a plugin author has taken the source of the RotoZoomer and is working on an upgraded version and he or she can hopefully integrate this
