Paint.NET Setup Front-end has encountered a problem and need

Recommended Posts

I had installed .net framework and Paint.NET v.3.1 and all was fine until I let Paint update to a newer version. It had an error trying to install and now the original version and any attempt to reinstall any version has the following error:

"Paint.NET Setup Front-end has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I would get the same error when trying to uninstall it until I used the windows install cleaner tool, which I found out about in these forums.

Now I am unable to install any version of Paint.NET

Please help.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
