Need 8-bit color images.

Recommended Posts

I've looked all around and I can't find any way to change the default 24-bit color images (*.bmp) to 8-bit. The reason for doing this is because I'm trying to generate sample images for a program that does pattern matching and it only accepts 8-bit color images. Is it possible with Paint.NET and I just didn't see it.

Thanks,

BubbaGee

A quick search would have resulted this:

On the same matter[/url], BoltBait":44091]Everything Paint.NET does is in 32 bit. Currently, the only way to convert your picture to 8 bit is to save it in GIF format.

If you want to save it in 24 bit, just select BMP format.

Rick has said that 8 bit BMP format is coming.

Does this answer you?

Yeah, search has been doing weird stuff recently. You're not the only one to miss something like that. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
