BubbaGee
I've looked all around and I can't find any way to change the default 24-bit color images (*.bmp) to 8-bit. The reason for doing this is because I'm trying to generate sample images for a program that does pattern matching and it only accepts 8-bit color images. Is it possible with Paint.NET and I just didn't see it. Thanks, BubbaGee
Myrddin
A quick search would have resulted this: On the same matter[/url], BoltBait":44091]Everything Paint.NET does is in 32 bit. Currently, the only way to convert your picture to 8 bit is to save it in GIF format. If you want to save it in 24 bit, just select BMP format. Rick has said that 8 bit BMP format is coming. Does this answer you? Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
BubbaGee
I did do a search using '8-bit' and 'reduce color' and never saw that one. Thanks for the reply and the information. Thanks, BubbaGee
david.atwell
Yeah, search has been doing weird stuff recently. You're not the only one to miss something like that. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies.
