A_Pickle Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 In the event of a crash of Paint.NET, Paint.NET seems to create a log fileby the name of "pdncrash.log"... on my desktop, by default. Is that pathway editable by the user? If so, where? If not, I request that be implemented sometime in upcoming versions. -Pikl Quote Photobucket - Blog Newest Film: Beowulf (Feel free to PM me comments, criticisms)
Bob Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Is that pathway editable by the user? No. Why? Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
Rick Brewster Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Actually you bring up a good point. I think it makes sense to leave these on the desktop for our alpha and beta releases, but a different location probably makes more sense for our final releases. Otherwise, honestly, it feels a little unprofessional to drop these crash logs on the desktop. Rick Brewster Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Unfortunately our bug database webserver is currently down. Dang it. Looks like I'll have to remind myself with pen + paper. Nick Hanson Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I haven't had it crash personally but I'm curious if it reports the crash with any usefull information in the OS's application event log. Quote
